Azzio DA 8 Misses His Mother's Sambal in Quarantine, Relies on Parental Support

He shares stories about his daily life during quarantine, including how he maintains focus and manages his longing for family through regular communication.

1. Missing Home: Azzio DA 8 During Quarantine

The long quarantine period has made Azzio miss his family. The eldest of four siblings admits that the distance from home poses a unique challenge during the competition.

Among the many things he misses, it is the simple matter of home-cooked food that resonates the most: his mother's homemade chili sauce. He mentions that it is the thing he longs to enjoy again the most.

During the quarantine, he cannot enjoy his mother's special chili sauce, making his longing for home-cooked meals even stronger.

2. Parents' Phone Calls Become a Mainstay

To cure his longing and maintain concentration during the competition, Azzio admits to regularly contacting his parents. For him, support from his parents is crucial amidst the busy preparation activities.

"Often, yes, often. Sometimes the ones I contact the most are indeed my parents because I need support from them too," Azzio revealed.

In every call, his parents never fail to encourage him. They remind Azzio to keep practicing hard, to fight, to strive, and to maintain his spirit while performing on the DA stage.

3. Azzio's Debut at D'Academy

Participation in D'Academy is a proving ground for Azzio. This competition is the first he has ever participated in throughout his life. Before being selected to compete in DA 8, Azzio's stage experience was limited to singing at small venues, such as singing gigs. His journey on the DA 8 stage demands vocal and mental readiness, as well as adaptation to living away from home in the quarantine system he undergoes.
