Fahri Labuhanbatu Reveals the Key to Facing Competition in D'Academy 8

Kapanlagi.com - Fahri, a contestant from Dangdut Academy 8 from Labuhanbatu, North Sumatra, is ready to face increasingly fierce competition after being declared qualified for the top 42. Fahri expressed his pride and emotion in being able to reach this point. This result is the sweet fruit of his long struggle participating in the Dangdut Academy auditions from season 5 to this season 8.

"I have been trying out for Dangdut Academy since DA 5 until now in DA 8, and thank God, this is the time for my fortune," said Fahri when met at the Emtek Indosiar Studio on Monday (13/7/2026).

When asked about his preparations for the upcoming competition, he revealed that health is the key for him to perform optimally. According to him, the most important strategy he prepares is to maintain health alongside continuing to learn and practice.

"The first and most important thing is that we must not get tired of learning. And, of course, maintain health, that is the most important thing because if we are not healthy, how can we practice and be active? Everything will be hindered. So it is important to keep our health," Fahri explained.

1. Continue Learning

Regarding the challenges and difficulties that will come, Fahri stated that he has no idea about it yet. However, he emphasized that for him, the key to facing all the existing difficulties is to continue learning.

"If the challenge is there, I have to learn; the point is to learn a lot because the challenges ahead will definitely be there. We don’t know what the challenges ahead are. The point is, whatever the challenges in front of us, we already know, yes, learn like that," he explained.

2. Joined Coach Melly Lee's Team

Fahri is one of 14 Academics selected by Coach Melly Lee to be in the team that will be mentored by the champion of D'Academy Asia 6. The selection took place during the Welcome Top 42 concert held on Monday, July 13, 2026. The Top 42 round itself will be broadcast live every day starting Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
