Kapanlagi.com - Idoy's success in advancing from the Final Audition Group 6 of D'Academy 8 is the result of a long struggle he has gone through since the initial audition process. The participant from Medan even had to be willing to queue for hours just to get the chance to perform in front of the judges.
Idoy recounted that he had arrived at the audition location since the morning. Although he had to wait until noon, he remained steadfast because he believed that every struggle would bear fruit.
"From 7 AM to 12 PM I queued in the heat, but I didn't betray the results," said Idoy when met at the Emtek Studio, West Jakarta, Wednesday (8/7/2026).
He also revealed that the journey from his home to the audition location only took about 30 minutes. However, the long waiting time posed a challenge before he finally got the opportunity to sing in front of the judging panel.
"Oh, it takes about 30 minutes from home to the audition. 30 minutes from 6 AM to get to the location around 7 AM. Then I queued, my queue was at 12 PM," he recalled.
For Idoy, participating in competitions is not just about defeating other contestants. He believes that the biggest challenge actually comes from within oneself, so mental strength must be built from the very beginning.
"Just be confident, sis. If asked how confident I am, I would say I am confident because we need to instill a competitive spirit; we must not give up. The biggest enemy is ourselves, not others," he asserted.

Idoy's biggest motivation remains simple, which is to make both parents happy while continuously improving his singing skills to compete in the dangdut music industry.
"Because first, I want to make my parents happy, and then I want to keep learning," he said.
