Preparation for Dangdut Academy 8: Indosiar Promises Innovation and New Surprises

After a successful seventh season, Indosiar is now busy preparing for the Dangdut Academy 8 talent search. Various improvements and system developments are being worked on to produce new, higher-quality dangdut stars in the future.

"The shortcomings in Dangdut Academy 7 will be improved, we will fix them, and then we will look for new breakthroughs. So that the fans of Dangdut Academy in Indonesia will never get bored," said Harsiwi Achmad when met at the Emtek studio, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, on Monday (25/5/2026).

SCM Director, Harsiwi Achmad, emphasized the importance for a program to continuously update its content every year. The presence of King Nassar as a judge is one of the strategic steps to refresh the competition atmosphere on screen.

"After we discovered the extraordinary potentials of Dangdut Academy 8 in the community, we also want to package it very well. One of the ways is by bringing in King Nassar as a breakthrough from the side of the judges," said Harsiwi.

2. Production Team Is Not Quick to Feel Satisfied

Although the system in the previous season was considered quite good, the production team still does not want to feel satisfied quickly. They continue to search for new potentials in the corners of the country to drastically improve the quality of the contestants.

"With King Nassar's extensive experience, I am sure today the children are gaining significant knowledge from King Nassar. How a singer must have an identity so that people remember them," said Harsiwi.

5. Contestants Are Required to Perform at Their Best

The contestants of the eighth season will be required to perform at their best in each elimination round. Indosiar ensures that the judges' evaluation standards will remain strict to filter talents that are truly ready to compete globally.
