Ratifah from Binjai's Journey Ends at the Final Audition of Dangdut Academy 8, Wants to Return in the Next Season

Ratifah's journey in Dangdut Academy 8 must end at the Final Audition of Group 6. Although she failed to advance to the top 53, the participant from Binjai, North Sumatra, is still grateful for the experience gained during the competition.

Ratifah admitted that she had prepared herself by addressing various notes given by the judges during her previous performances. She trained harder to deliver a better performance.

She still remembers the criticisms she received, especially regarding her expression, tempo, and eye contact, which were deemed not optimal. These became her main focus during the preparation period.

"Of course, I corrected the judges' comments, I practiced my interpretation, and then I deepened the dynamics, facial expressions, and my gaze so that it wouldn't be empty," said Ratifah when met at the Emtek Indosiar Studio, West Jakarta, Wednesday (8/7/2026).

"Yes, I still (remember the judges' comments). First, it was in the gaze, my eyes were said by the judges to be empty, then I was in tempo with the feeling," she revealed.

Although she failed to advance further, Ratifah still appreciates all the participants who succeeded, including her sister, Shaki. According to her, all contestants have the best qualities.

"Yes, certainly, we cannot underestimate anyone because everyone has their own qualities, of course, I also have my own qualities. So I hope we all can perform smoothly and well," she said.

This failure this season does not make Ratifah give up. "Yes, I won't just stop like that, I won't give up at that point, I will certainly learn from my mistakes, I will start upgrading my singing skills, and if there is DA 9, I will participate again," concluded Ratifah.
