Acting with a Doll Worth 2.5 Billion in 'THE DOLL 3', Jessica Mila and Winky Wiryawan Get Emotional

Kapanlagi.com - THE DOLL 3 movie starring Jessica Mila and Winky Wiryawan is ready to be released in cinemas throughout Indonesia. Unlike the previous two films, for this final series, the dolls can express themselves and move using animatronic technology worth Rp 2.5 billion.

During the filming process, Jessica Mila admitted that acting with a doll is much more difficult than with humans. As actors, they have to look convincing as if they are really interacting.

"It's difficult to act with a doll. Much more difficult than with humans. Because the doll has no emotions, while with a human co-star, we can exchange emotions," said Mila when met at Senayan City, Central Jakarta, last week.

1. Making Emotions Go Up and Down

In addition to acting with an inanimate object, Jessica Mila and Winky Wiryawan have to work with people who move the dolls. This is quite emotionally draining.

"Because this animatronic doll is controlled by several people, we also have to cooperate with the people who move the dolls," said Mila.

"One doll is controlled by several people with a remote. It becomes quite difficult when the doll's movements are slightly wrong, and we are in an emotional scene, so we have to repeat it. When the doll is correct, our emotions go down," added Winky at the same event.

2. Shooting and Patience Test

Despite that, Jessica Mila and Winky Wiryawan enjoyed the shooting process with animatronic dolls. Moreover, since the beginning, Rocky Soraya as the producer and director gave a warning to be extra patient.

"From the beginning, Mr. Rocky has briefed us that shooting this film is also a test of patience. Because we have never done shooting with animatronic dolls before," explained Winky.

3. 'THE DOLL 3' Becomes the Final Film

Furthermore, Rocky Soraya stated that THE DOLL 3 will be the final film in this series. However, if it succeeds in getting millions of viewers, there is a possibility of creating a spin-off.

"In THE DOLL 1, the doll just sat there, in THE DOLL 2, its eyes moved, and now it can talk and walk around. I don't know what's next because I've run out of ideas. If the film is successful, there may be a spin-off," Rocky concluded.
