Adipati Dolken Debuts in Malaysian Film Mojoku Hilang! Sends 20 Casting Videos

Kapanlagi.com - Adipati Dolken is now venturing into the Malaysian film industry through a film titled Mojoku Hilang!. The film, directed by Min Lim, is scheduled to be released in Indonesian theaters on August 28.

In this film, Adipati plays the role of Adi, a corporate slave who is ambitious to achieve success in a renowned livestock company.

Speaking about the challenges he faced, Adipati revealed, “I ended up making 20 casting videos because I felt they weren’t good enough. So I thought, still lacking, still lacking, still lacking. I also took quite a while to respond to their offer because I wasn’t sure I could do it. But in the end, I sent 20 videos and got accepted.” He made this statement during a Q&A session at the press screening of Mojoku Hilang! at fX Sudirman, Jakarta, on Monday (24/8/2026).

During the reading process, Adipati also faced difficulties with the Malay language. “During the reading, they were a bit disappointed because I couldn’t speak Malay. But they were patient until I was helped by everyone. Mimi and the other cast members were also very supportive,” he said. He feels fortunate that the other actors were very supportive and accepted his presence as a newcomer.

1. Learning the Perlis Language

Initially, Adipati learned the general Malaysian language. However, during filming, he found that the actors were using the Northern or Perlis dialect, which was harder to understand.

“I had to learn the general Malaysian language, but during filming, they actually didn’t use that language. They used the Perlis language, which is more difficult than the general Malaysian language,” he explained.

Adipati added, “When they spoke the Perlis language, I couldn’t distinguish between the Perlis language and the Malaysian language. I thought, ‘Oh, maybe this is how it’s spoken.’ It turned out I was wrong every time I spoke.”

2. Cultural Collaboration of Three Countries

The film Mojoku Hilang! is not just a film, but also a cultural collaboration between Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Adipati revealed, “This film is quite memorable for me because it is one of the projects that combines Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia. The cultural collaboration is also significant.”

He hopes that this film will be well received by audiences in Indonesia, after previously screening in Malaysia and Singapore. “I hope this film can also be accepted in Indonesia because this is the last screening. It has already screened in Malaysia, already screened in Singapore, and now in Indonesia,” he expressed.

3. Synopsis of the Film Mojoku Hilang!

Mojoku Hilang! tells the story of Adi, a corporate slave from the Moo Magic livestock company who is ambitious to get promoted. In his efforts, he conducts massive branding for Mojo, a viral cow that has become the center of attention on social media.

However, this ambition leads to animal exploitation, which makes local farmers in Perlis feel aggrieved.

The conflict escalates when Mojo is kidnapped by local residents. Adi strategizes to disguise himself as a villager and blend in with the local community. Amidst this situation, he also tries to win the heart of Ayu, a strong-willed woman from the village.

Will Adi succeed in bringing Mojo home and winning Ayu's love at the same time?
