The rocky road had to be traversed by the production team of the film MERAH PUTIH ONE FOR ALL to showcase their work in the largest cinema network in Indonesia, XXI. Amidst limited funds and resources, Endiarto, the executive producer of the film Merah Putih One for All, expressed that the process was not as easy as flipping one's hand.

He admitted to being very grateful and appreciative of XXI for finally giving the opportunity. Endiarto suspects that one of the considerations for XXI to accept his film was the shared vision to celebrate the 80th Independence Day of Indonesia. According to him, XXI might see this moment as an opportunity to contribute by providing a platform for a film with a national theme.

"We greatly appreciate that XXI is willing to give Merah Putih a chance. Possibly, their consideration is similar to ours. Seeing this moment, they also want to participate and contribute actively to coloring this celebration," said Endiarto in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (12/8/2025).

However, before the green light is obtained, Endiarto and his team must go through a series of fairly strict standard processes.

He recounted that his team initially faced a rejection and was asked to make several technical revisions.

"It's just that XXI questioned a lot, we followed the usual standards, letters, until there was a rejection, there were revisions, we did it," he explained.

More specifically, the revisions requested were related to the quality of the Digital Cinema Package (DCP). The cinema found several aspects that needed improvement, such as audio quality that was deemed inadequate.

"It wasn't rejected, first it was rejected, then revisions. DCP revisions. Some audio was over, some were this. Yes, we fixed it," Endiarto explained.

Although they faced obstacles, the production team did not give up easily.

They continued to strive to fix the shortcomings according to the established standards until finally the film was worthy of screening, even with a limited number of screens.

"Is there still a chance? Yes, Mr. Endi. Oh, there is. If you say there isn't, then what else can we do? You see, because this is what we can do, we don’t have any supporting anyone, no backup at all," he concluded.
