Kapanlagi.com - Director Timo Tjahjanto is preparing for the release of a horror film titled RED-DRESSED WOMAN. Although this time he only acts as a producer and screenwriter, he guarantees that the audience will still experience the madness and horror like his previous works.
As the main character, Timo chose Tatjana Saphira to play the protagonist named Dinda. Just like what he did to Chelsea Islan in BEFORE THE DEVIL TAKES YOU, this bespectacled man also inflicts torture on the 22-year-old actress.
"I like it, whether it's a film that I direct or produce, the character has to experience torture. In this film, Tatjana is quite dedicated. Usually, I often see her in drama films, she looks calm, but here she becomes a character who experiences extreme things," Timo revealed during an Instagram live on Cinema XXI, Wednesday (20/5/2020).
In the Indonesian film industry, especially in the horror genre, Timo Tjahjanto feels that his presence is already established and therefore he needs to give others a chance to show their skills. That's why he collaborates with William Chandra as a director.
"There are more and more horror films emerging, and most of the directors have been in this industry for quite a long time. William Chandra is a director who wants to make a name for himself, so I finally created a horror film company called Frontier that aims to promote young directors with different ideas," explained Timo.

Fortunately, the filming process of PEREMPUAN BERGAUN MERAH (The Woman in the Red Dress) has been completed, so it was not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, it is revealed that the film is in the post-production stage.
"We finished shooting before the COVID-19 tragedy. Now we are in the post-production stage. This film has some scenes that have never been seen in previous horror films. For those who know, I always emphasize that there is a scene that people will wonder how it was made. It's really exciting, I can say that," promised Timo.
