Baskara Mahendra Admits Enjoying Punishment from Timo Tjahjanto in the Movie 'SEBELUM IBLIS MENJEMPUT AYAT 2'

Kapanlagi.com - Director Timo Tjahjanto is ready to release his new work titled SEBELUM IBLIS MENJEMPUT AYAT 2. This supernatural horror film starring Chelsea Islan, Baskara Mahendra, and a series of young stars promises double the terrifying and horrifying scenes compared to the first film, which collected over one million viewers.

"The first film can be said to be sometimes slow-paced because it focuses on the conflict between the two main female characters. In other words, if the first film is like listening to a melodious song, this second film is like a rock and roll song," said Timo when met at Senayan City XXI, Central Jakarta, on Friday (21/2/2020).

1. Enjoy Being Tortured

Baskara Mahendra portrays a new character named Budi in the film SEBELUM IBLIS MENJEMPUT AYAT 2. Considering it's his first time working with Timo Tjahjanto, Baskara was thrilled when he had to be tortured in a scene as it was a new experience for him.

"When shooting with Timo, it was fun because he kept torturing me. And I'm really happy that my character gets tortured from the beginning to the end," said Baskara when interviewed at the same location.

2. Fun Horror

Timo Tjahjanto continues to maintain his signature style since the film RUMAH DARA in SEBELUM IBLIS MENJEMPUT AYAT 2. He intended this new work as entertainment for genre lovers, just sit back, watch, and have fun.

"My goal in making this film is to create a fun horror, not to make people stressed, not 100% serious although there are some serious parts. Because horror, besides being scary, should be an enjoyable experience. The cast also gave 110% and I'm satisfied with that. I just told them not to be uptight in playing in this kind of film, they have to be committed. And on set, I'm just smiling," said Timo.
