Likes Compared to Mastur, Ahmad Syaiful: Maybe Dad When Young Like Me Just...

Kapanlagi.com - Having a handsome face, many people don't think Ahmad Syaiful is the son of comedian Mastur. The teenager, who is familiarly called Pule, admitted that he is used to receiving such responses when others find out that he is Mastur's child.

"If that's the case, it's normal," said Ahmad Syaiful with a smile when met in Jakarta, not long ago.

Still lingering in his memory, there was a time when his father took him to a shooting location and introduced him to his father's friends. He was a little surprised when he saw the reactions from his father's colleagues who didn't believe that he was Mastur's child.

"Once my father took me to a shooting location. It was funny, many people said, 'why are you so different from your father?' until they said, 'are you sure this is your child? Well, it's up to you, as long as I've told you.' I just laughed and maybe they were just joking," said Pule.

Often compared to his father, Pule admits that he doesn't mind. He even believes that his father also had a handsome appearance, it seems. "Maybe my father was also like me when he was young, just maybe a little different," he said with a smile.

Now, Pule is following in his father's footsteps to pursue a career in the entertainment industry of the homeland. Pule said that he has been involved in the entertainment world for a year now. He has appeared in several soap operas. Although only as an extra, he enjoys it enough.

"So my father gave me a choice, whether to enter the workforce or the entertainment world. Well, my choice is entertainment, but my father said don't just try it out, my father said, if you want to be in the entertainment world, you have to fully immerse yourself, like they say if you want to get wet, get wet all the way," said the teenager born in Jakarta on October 25, 1995.

During his time in the entertainment world, Pule admits that he has never introduced himself as the son of a famous comedian. He does this so that he can achieve success without relying on his parents' popularity.

"Let people find out for themselves. Because I don't want to ever take advantage of my dad. If my principle is what my dad taught me, then I apply it myself, like stepping out of my comfort zone to find my own identity, and trying out entertainment through casting, well, basically I don't want to rely on my dad's name," he said.

Hard work from Pule has started to bear fruit. He is now trusted to star in a film titled ROH MATI PAKSA CINTA BERUJUNG MAUT.

"This is my first film so it will definitely be memorable. Hopefully, from this film, I can continue my career in the world of acting. It is certainly an honor to continue the artistic bloodline from my family," he said.

In addition to Pule, the film also stars Arnold Leonard, Dea Annisa, Gabriella Larasati, Ismi Melinda, Natalie Zenn, Ratu Kumbang, and Robert Chaniaago. The film will be screened in theaters starting March 26, 2020, in the homeland. Furthermore, starting April 2020, this film will be distributed in neighboring countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, and Brunei Darussalam.
