'BUS OM BEBEK' Will Officially Air After Being Delayed for 2 Years, Director Aditya Gumay Offers Gratitude

Kapanlagi.com - The film titled BUS OM BEBEK under the production house of Smaradana Pro was delayed for 2 years. This time, the film directed by Aditya Gumay is finally confirmed to be released on January 6, 2022.

As the director, Aditya admitted to surrendering when the film, which also involves famous artists Ruben Onsu, Sarwendah, Aziz Gagap, and Ricky Cuaca, was postponed. The founder of Ananda studio immediately prostrated in gratitude when he found out that his film work would be released on the big screen.

"I am grateful. Alhamdulillah, especially with the help of the government. I don't know if it will succeed, but I am optimistic. This shooting was two years ago. From Ricky Cuaca being fat to becoming thin. Finally, now, with the help of the government, it's beautiful in its time," said Aditya Gumay after the film screening at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Wednesday (10/11).

Aditya is grateful for the trust given by the government, which has provided funding for the making of a children's film. BUS OM BEBEK is also expected to attract consumers or viewers to return to watching movies in theaters.

"Movies are starting to rise again. The first thing to be grateful for is that Indonesian audiences are expected to revive with the government's assistance to help the film industry with the promotional funds they have prepared, making filmmakers optimistic. This marks the return of children's films, and finally children can have entertainment in theaters," explained Aditya Gumay.

BUS OM BEBEK tells the story of Om Bebek (Aziz Gagap), who is about to retire as a school bus driver. He, along with the bus conductor, Paman Gembul (Ricky Cuaca), wants to take the children to school. However, in the middle of the journey, Bus Om Bebek is hijacked by a kidnapper, and the fate of the children inside the bus is threatened.
