Iconic Story of AADC? Reborn, 'RANGGA & CINTA' Officially Releases Musical Trailer

Kapanlagi.com - The long wait for Indonesian film lovers has finally come to an end. Miles Films officially launched the poster and the first trailer for the film RANGGA & CINTA, an ambitious project that reinterprets the legendary story of Ada Apa Dengan Cinta? (AADC?) in a fresh musical format.

The launch event held at XXI Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (28/7/2025), was the first time the public witnessed the chemistry of the new cast who will revive the iconic characters.

The official poster features El Putra Sarira as Rangga and Leya Princy as Cinta. Both appear with visuals that maintain the colorful palette typical of AADC?, but with a modern gradient touch that radiates new energy while still embracing nostalgia.

1. Musical Celebration

The two-minute trailer that was released successfully captivated the invited guests. This film snippet not only showcases the acting talents of the newcomers but also their abilities in dancing and singing, affirming that RANGGA & CINTA will be a grand musical celebration.

Producer Mira Lesmana expressed that this film is a celebration of the story of AADC?, which has become deeply ingrained in the hearts of the public. She wants the audience to feel the same emotions again, but with a stronger musical narrative touch.

2. Emotional Closeness

"In this trailer, we hope the audience can feel a deeper emotional closeness as Rangga and Cinta express their feelings through their melodies, while also experiencing the power of the lyrics from the songs of AADC? and some new songs that will further narrate the film of Rangga & Cinta," said Mira Lesmana when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Monday (28/7/2025).

Director Riri Riza added that the process of making this film brought him back to nostalgia. For him, AADC? is a very important work, and he wants the spirit of the original story to remain intact even though it is wrapped in new character dynamics.

3. Very Relieved

"In the film Rangga & Cinta, we want to maintain the spirit of the original story, while offering a new dynamic between the characters. A glimpse of this can be felt in the trailer," said Riri Riza.

Nicholas Saputra, who played Rangga in the original film and also serves as a producer in this film, admitted he is very relieved that this project can finally be shown to the public. He is optimistic that audiences will fall in love again with the universe of AADC? in this new version.

"It's such a relief to finally be able to give something to the prospective audience, fans of the film Ada Apa Dengan Cinta?. I feel very optimistic that it seems the audience will fall in love again with the characters in this film," he concluded. The film RANGGA & CINTA is scheduled to greet audiences in theaters across Indonesia starting October 2, 2025.
