Film 'MILEA: SUARA DARI DILAN' Will Answer All Fans' Questions, Iqbaal Ramadhan: Viewers Will Say Oh My God!
Iqbaal Ramadhan discusses the film MILEA: SUARA DARI DILAN. Curious about it?
Kapanlagi.com - Iqbaal Ramadhan is not only acting in the film MILEA: SUARA DARI DILAN as Dilan, but he is also involved in creating the soundtrack for the latest installment of the Dilan sequel titled Kita Pernah Ada. The song has even been released on January 13, 2020.
"There are many soundtrack songs, and one of them is the one that I composed. So, I was asked to contribute my voice, but I also asked to write the lyrics. The song has been released a few days ago," said Iqbaal Ramadhan during a media visit at SCTV Tower, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday afternoon (22/1).
There are several reasons why Iqbaal wanted to create his own lyrics for the soundtrack of Fajar Bustomi's film. One of them is to ensure that the meaning in the song can be conveyed in a 'Dilan' way.
"I sing and I write, why I write it myself is because I think if it's written by someone else, it might be better, but it won't be as deep, maybe because I'm telling this song and trying to become Dilan who writes it. I'm afraid that if it's not me who writes it, he will try to be Dilan and the language will become heavy or too poetic," he said.

In addition, according to the man born in Surabaya on December 28, 1999, the process for this song took quite a long time because he was not used to writing lyrics in Indonesian. As for the song references, Iqbaal has listened to several songs from local and international musicians.
"It took quite a while, like a day or two, to make this song. I wanted it to be British but it didn't work out, and for me, writing lyrics in Indonesian is difficult, especially for a love song like this, very poetic. While making this song, I told myself 'stay calm, just write it as Dilan,' and that's how it turned out," he said.
"As for references, I often listen to Kunto Aji's songs from Jakarta, and also Alexa's songs, and for international references, I often listen to Pure Saturday's songs," he added.

The film MILEA: SUARA DARI DILAN is adapted from the novel with the same title by Pidi Baiq. This film is a continuation of the love story of Dilan and Milea from the previous stories "Dilan 1990" (2018) and "Dilan 1991" (2019).
If the films DILAN 1990 and DILAN 1991 portrayed Dilan from Milea's perspective, the film MILEA: SUARA DARI DILAN depicts Dilan's point of view on Milea. This film is not only starred by Iqbaal Ramadhan and Vanesha Prescilla, but also features Adhisty Zara, Yoriko Angeline, Zulfa Maharani, Debo Andryos, Andovi da Lopez, Jerome Kurnia, and Omara Osteghlal.
