Involved in the Film 'KKN DI DESA PENARI', Adinda Thomas Cried in Fear of Being Coiled by a Python

As stated in the viral thread in mid-2019, there is a scene where Widya interacts with a snake. Because the producer, Manoj Punjabi, wanted something real, Adinda underwent a workshop on how to safely handle snakes.

"There was a workshop with a snake handler and it was really well taken care of. During the workshop, I was first trained on how to hold and feel the snake in my hand, until I felt completely comfortable with it," explained Adinda when met at the MD Pictures office in Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (22/1/2020).

1. Crying Coiled by a Snake

On the third day of the workshop with a python snake, Adinda Thomas panicked when the animal was in front of her face. Reflexively, she slammed the snake to the floor. However, because the snake's body was still coiled around her leg, the coil became tighter.

"There was an incident on the third workshop. Where I panicked because the snake suddenly came towards my face, so I threw it to the floor. But my body was half-coiled on the left side, so I was tightly coiled. I screamed, cried, and was very scared. All the caretakers and trainers told me to take a breath, not to be afraid," added Adinda.

2. No Panic Allowed

She continued, snakes will react to the human body if it is in a panicked state and has a cold body temperature. Therefore, the condition must be stable and the body should be kept warm.

"This is a real opportunity to train Adinda's courage because she happens to be afraid of snakes. Adinda must not be afraid because fear makes Adinda's body cold. When the snake touches a fearful and cold body, it will stimulate it to kill. So, no panic and sudden movements are allowed," she concluded.
