Thanks to 'KELUARGA CEMARA', Ringgo Agus Rahman is Used to Calling Nirina Zubir 'Emak'

Kapanlagi.com - Being friends for a long time makes Ringgo Agus Rahman and Nirina Zubir not have difficulty building chemistry in a film. The same goes when they both play husband and wife in the film KELUARGA CEMARA.

Even the roles of Abah and Emak are very ingrained in their daily lives. So much so that Ringgo Agus Rahman and his family are used to calling Nirina Zubir 'Emak'.

"If outside of this (film) I call (Nirina) 'Emak', I call her on the phone, on WhatsApp, even my wife calls her 'Emak'. Even my younger brother calls her 'Emak'. KELUARGA CEMARA changed that," said Ringgo Agus Rahman during the press conference for the film KELUARGA CEMARA 2 at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, Monday (20/6).

"I used to consider Nirina as my older sister, from that closeness it didn't progress to a film project. I remember moments in my life when my mother was always present, when my mother passed away, 'Emak' was there. The closeness we have made this character easier," he continued.

However, because of that closeness, Nirina Zubir felt strange when she had to act as a husband and wife with Ringgo Agus Rahman.

"Because in the beginning we were close like siblings, really good friends. So (the roles of) Emak and Abah were difficult. Even just touching him made me feel awkward. Not to mention having to look into each other's eyes. But because it's for our mutual benefit, until now it's become Keluarga Cemara 2," said Nirina Zubir.

2. Film Success

Talking about the success of this movie until there is KELUARGA CEMARA 2, Nirina Zubir admitted that she was very happy and grateful to be trusted again to play as Emak.

“For me, success is when we continue a movie that we have played before, continue to the second one, and then we all enter the house together again. Everyone returns to our home and meets again to play these characters. It's so much fun because there is another family besides our real family,” said Nirina Zubir.

3. Movie to Accompany Holiday Time

Anggia Kharisma, as the producer, said that the movie KELUARGA CEMARA 2 is suitable to accompany children who are currently on school holidays. This movie, produced by Visinema Pictures and directed by Ismail Basbeth, is showing in theaters starting from June 23, 2022.

“We intentionally want to provide a show that not only entertains but also provides good values for families to fill their school holidays,” said Anggia Kharisma.
