'The Intern', Original Series that Presents the Complaints of Interns in the Office World

Kapanlagi.com - Vision+ latest original series titled The Intern features a number of talented actors from the homeland, including Kevin Ardilova. In this series, Kevin plays the role of Beckham, an intern who works at an e-commerce company and suddenly becomes a model.

Kevin himself faces quite a challenge here, as he has no prior experience as an intern in an office. However, this actually motivates him to try something new.

"Because I have never worked in an office and been an intern before. I have also never played this role before, so that's why I accepted it. I really wanted to experience being an intern," said Kevin Ardilova in a virtual press conference for The Intern on Monday (19/4/2021).

1. Getting to Know Beckham, the Main Character

The original series directed by Glen Kainama itself presents a story that is unique, namely about the reality of daily office life. Kevin mentioned that the storyline of The Intern is very different from most other web series.

Furthermore, Kevin also talked about the character of Beckham that he played. The 22-year-old man considered his character to be quite difficult to portray and understand because he has an ambitious, calm, and well-behaved attitude.

"Beckham is a final year student in Bandung. He took an internship for his final study. So, he gained experience and felt how tiring it is to be an intern. It's exciting," he explained.

2. The First Idea of 'The Intern'

The idea for the story of The Intern apparently originated from Clarissa Tanoesoedibjo and Valencia Tanoesoedibjo, the CEO of Vision+ who thought of creating a series about the untold story of interns in web series, soap operas, and feature films. This series is also a collaboration with The F Thing.

The first episode of The Intern aired on Monday (19/4). The story is about Beckham's first day as an intern at The F Thing, which is filled with fun and silliness. Beckham suddenly becomes a catalog model. Of course, the photoshoot session fails completely with awkward and 'not at all' poses due to a misunderstanding by the talent coordinators.

In addition to Kevin, this original series is also starred by Sere Kalina (Stella), Caitlin North (Hazell), Arya Vasco (Shawn), Bobbie Antonio (Zoe), Rick Sitorus (M), and veteran actor Jajang C. Noer (Nini, Beckham's grandmother).
