Starring Top Artists and Using the Best Technology, 'Millennial Ustad' Becomes the Most Expensive Ramadan Series?

The Ustad Milenial series is the first for WeTV to present 20 episodes. With a competent cast and advanced technology, this series is touted as the most expensive.

Responding to this, Lesley Simpson, Country Manager of WeTV and iflix Indonesia, said that whether the production of this series is expensive or not, it is solely intended to provide quality entertainment for the public. Both in terms of story and image and sound quality.

"Whether it's expensive or cheap, it's relative. Here, everything is not half-hearted. Religion with top quality. Hopefully, it can have an extraordinary impact on Indonesia," he said.

Ustad Milenial tells the story of Ahmad who is very certain that his life's path is to become an Ustad. One way he knows to achieve this is by continuing his education in Cairo, Egypt.

However, everything changes when his father dies and bequeaths his woodworking workshop business and his friend to Ahmad. Ahmad is trapped in a dilemma between realizing his dreams or fulfilling his parents' request.

After trying to convince himself that his dreams should be prioritized, Ahmad finds out that his father's business is burdened with billions of debts. With all the compulsion, Ahmad cancels his plan to continue his education.

Then, together with his little friend Ibrahim (Endy Arfian), and Khadijah (Prilly Latuconsina), who is Ibrahim's sister, the three of them have to fight for and turn around their parents' almost bankrupt business. In the deadlock faced by Ahmad, Timbo (Umay Shahab), a friend from the past, suddenly comes and offers suspicious help.
