Pras and Meirose Fight for Their Marriage in 'SURGA YANG TAK DIRINDUKAN 3', Premiering on April 16

Kapanlagi.com - The first two films, SURGA YANG TAK DIRINDUKAN, were commercially successful. In addition to selling 3.1 million tickets, the story of Pras and Meirose's marriage won the Box Office Movie 2016 award. Their marriage story seems to be unfinished. Their story continues in SURGA YANG TAK DIRINDUKAN 3. 

This religious drama produced by MD Pictures can be watched on Disney+ Hotstar starting April 16, 2021. Adapted from the novel by Asma Nadia, this film is no longer directed by Kuntz Agus or Hanung Bramantyo. The directing baton is handed over to Pritagita Arianegara, who is expected to bring a female perspective to the film. Prita's touch is needed to perfect the story of the film, which now focuses on the character of Meirose. Marsha Timothy takes on the role of Meirose this time, replacing Raline Shah. 

Meanwhile, Reza Rahadian appears not as Dr. Syarief, but as Ray. He is a man from Meirose's past who plays an important role in this third film.

After Arini's departure (Laudya Cinthya Bella) in SURGA YANG TAK DIRINDUKAN 2, the story continues by highlighting the ups and downs of Meirose (Marsha Timothy) and Prasetya's (Fedi Nuril) household with their two children, Akbar and Nadia. Meirose wants to create a harmonious household ark with Pras, but everything changes when Ray, Meirose's past lover and Akbar's biological father, reappears in her life.

Will Meirose reunite with Ray, or will she choose to stay with Pras? Can Meirose overcome obstacles and create a paradise in her household with Pras?

The director, Pritagita Arianegara, said, "This third film once again highlights the struggle of husband and wife in interpreting love and maintaining the integrity of a household based on religion. In addition, this film also aims to inspire fans about the meaning of sacrifice, honesty, perseverance, and acceptance in a relationship. We hope that this film will be well received by fans in Indonesia and of course become a choice film to accompany the moment of Ramadan this year."

3. New Characters

SURGA YANG TAK DIRINDUKAN 3 presents a lineup of the best actors and actresses in the country, including Fedi Nuril, Marsha Timothy, Reza Rahadian, Oline Mendeng, Zsa Zsa Utari, and Dea Panendra.

Other talented actors from the country are also involved, such as Kemal Palevi who returns as Amran and Tanta Ginting as Hartono, who is Prasetya's close friend. Oline Mendeng plays Dara while Zsa Zsa Utari plays Mima, Meirose's coworker. Dea Panendra also plays Ibu Welas, Akbar's mischievous and funny homeroom teacher.

Not only that, Hanung Bramantyo, who previously directed SURGA YANG TAK DIRINDUKAN 2, is also present as one of the producers in this film.
