This comedy-drama film is set in the 1950s and revolves around the first outpost of an American weekly magazine in France. The establishment of this magazine in France was inspired by The New Yorker magazine. Journalists create news that is later published in a magazine called The French Dispatch, which is in line with the title of the film.

In the storyline of the film THE FRENCH DISPATCH, it is narrated that this magazine will publish 3 interesting issues. The first issue discusses an artist who is imprisoned for life. The second issue discusses students involved in riots, and the last one is about a chef involved in a kidnapping case. An interesting and somewhat 'dark' storyline.

The characters to be portrayed have been revealed when the first trailer was released. Bill Murray will play the role of French Dispatch editor named Arthur Howitzer Jr. and the team of editors will be played by Moss, Wilson, Swinton, Fisher Stevens and Griffin Dune. Meanwhile, the imprisoned artist will be played by Benicio Del Toro named Moses Rosenthaler. Not to forget, Timothée Chalamet will portray a revolutionary student named Zeffirelli and Frances McDormand will be the reporter covering Zeffirelli's case.
