Walt Disney Releases a Short Theatrical Film Titled 'US AGAIN'

Kapanlagi.com - Walt Disney Animation has released a poster titled US AGAIN, this film is the first theatrical film in five years. It was announced that the film will be released before RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON, on March 5th and will be streamed on Disney+ in June. Previously, Disney Classic Short has produced animated films with similar genres such as GET A HORSE!, TICK TOCK TALE, and INNER WORKINGS. The film US AGAIN can be said to be a comeback for theatrical animation for them.

US AGAIN is written and directed by Zach Parrish, who was previously the head of production for Disney's animation BIG HERO 6. US AGAIN will tell the story of middle-aged souls who rediscover their passion for life through a dance they perform that brings the whole city to life. The dance performed by Art and Dot becomes a miracle that enlivens the city and themselves. Although this film will have no dialogue, it will be replaced by original music inspired by 1960s funk music. To make the atmosphere more lively, Zach Parrish collaborated with professional dancers and husband and wife duo Keone and Mari Madrid to work together in this film.

For Parrish, this film project has personal value for him. Because this film is quite close to his life as he approaches middle age, he feels sad about the physical limitations he experiences. This inspired him to make US AGAIN the core story of this film.
