Latest Episode of Drama 'THE WORLD OF THE MARRIED' Receives Criticism for Showing Violent Scenes

The perpetrator of the attack, revealed later on, turns out to be the boyfriend of one of Dr. Ji Sun Woo's patients who has a tendency for violence.

Apparently, this man was paid to 'threaten Dr. Ji Sun Woo to move out of town' by her own ex-husband. This scene becomes a turning point in the drama and marks the beginning of the 'second act' between the divorced couple.

Unfortunately, after the scene aired, the production team of THE WORLD OF THE MARRIED received quite a lot of criticism from viewers. They felt uncomfortable watching the unexpected and detailed scene of the attack from a first-person perspective.

This scene lasts at least 5 minutes, where Dr. Ji Sun Woo (played by actress Kim Hee Ae) is thrown around and choked by the perpetrator. As reported by Koreaboo, some viewers consider the level of violence displayed in this scene 'too extreme' considering that the drama has dropped from an adult rating to a parental guidance rating in episode 6. Viewers feel that this scene has the potential to 'trigger' and should be given a warning at the beginning of the episode.
