Kapanlagi.com - Slank's guitarist Abdee Negara is confirmed to perform fully at the concert celebrating the 41-year journey of the legendary band. This concert is scheduled to take place at JI-Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on January 4, 2025.
This news was conveyed by Abdee's brother, Buddy Ace, who also revealed the preparations of the guitarist ahead of the big event.
"The preparations are quite general, maintaining health and practicing with other Slank members," said Buddy Ace when contacted on Friday (3/1/2025).
Abdee Negara has indeed become a special focus due to his condition that was disrupted some time ago. The guitarist born in Sulawesi had to take a break from activities with Slank to undergo medical treatment.
During his break, Abdee underwent intensive treatment for a month at home. He was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy (IgAN), an autoimmune disease that attacks his kidney function.
Nevertheless, Abdee's spirit to return to perform with Slank has never waned. According to Buddy Ace, Abdee continues to maintain his fitness with light exercise to support his recovery process.
"Just light exercise, walking, sit-ups," he said.

Buddy Ace is also optimistic that Abdee will perform at his best in this year's Slank anniversary concert.
"God willing, he will play full," he concluded.
The 41st anniversary concert of Slank carries the theme "Pasar Malam Empat Satoe Slank". In this concert, Slank will also feature several other musicians. Some big names confirmed to perform are NDX AKA, Idgitaf, and Feel Koplo.
"We have collaborated with NDX AKA before and they were really fun. Idgitaf represents Gen Z. He has a lot of fans, so we invited him," said Kaka recently.
