Celebrating Their 17th Anniversary, Hello Band Releases a New Single Titled 'I Want You'

The group, consisting of Widi (vocals), Gavet (keyboard), Gani (guitar), and Dedi (drums), has become an inseparable part of Indonesia's music journey. Ten years ago, Hello Band faced internal turmoil that forced them to stop making music. "We had to take a break due to internal issues. From 2014 to 2022, we really did not play music together as a band," said Widi, the vocalist.

Despite this, their works remain in the hearts of fans. Many wondered about the existence of Hello Band until finally, in 2022, post-pandemic, they returned to the Indonesian entertainment stage. "After the pandemic, we found solutions to our internal problems and enjoyed making music together again. Now, Hello Band is a stress release for us," added Widi.

To mark their return, Hello Band released their latest single titled I Want You on Tuesday (31/12/2024), coinciding with their 17th anniversary. This song tells the story of a man's struggle to love a woman despite many obstacles in their relationship.

Gavet, the songwriter, explained that I Want You is a summary of various musical elements from Hello Band's previous works.

"We mixed elements from songs like Poisonous Snake, Two Rings, and others. This single is a gateway to our upcoming works," said Gavet.

2. Prepare Many Songs

Hello Band is currently preparing more new songs for their loyal fans, Hellovers.

"We really miss you all. Hopefully I Want You can cure your longing for Hello Band. Pray for us to keep creating and to meet you soon," concluded Gavet.
