After Winning an Award at SCTV Awards, Pasto Releases Unique Single 'Sepenuhnya Sampai Mati'

Kapanlagi.com - A proud achievement has just been achieved by Pasto. The vocal group consisting of the sibling duo Sion Simbolon and Rohan Simbolon has just won an award at the SCTV Awards for their song titled Kisah Kasih di Sekolah (Love Story at School).

The single, which is also used as the soundtrack for the soap opera Dari Jendela SMP (From the Window of Junior High School), won in the category of 'Most Popular Soap Opera Soundtrack' chosen by the viewers. This is certainly a pride for Sion and Rohan, considering that the SCTV Awards is quite a prestigious event.

However, this award does not make Pasto complacent. As proof, the sibling duo immediately released a new single titled Sepenuhnya Sampai Mati (Completely Until Death). And apparently, Sion and Rohan present something new in this single.

1. Collaborating with a Rapper

In the single Sepenuhnya Sampai Mati, Pasto collaborated with a rapper. This is the first time they have incorporated hip hop or rap elements into their works.

"It is very unique and interesting, there has never been a collaboration with a rapper in our singles before. So in this single, Pasto added rap," explained Sion Simbolo in a press release received by KapanLagi.com.

The music presented by Pasto is quite contemporary. Starting with an electronic and Mandarin-style intro, Pasto immediately brings a new atmosphere. The difference is immediately felt when the rap beats at the beginning of the song.

The alternating vocals of Sion and Rohan also add their own color to this song. And not only at the beginning of the song, the rap atmosphere returns in the middle of the song.

"Certainly, it is a debut work from Pasto that is slightly different with the combination of Mandarin and modern rap, combined with Pasto's contemporary vocals," added Rohan.

2. Assisted by Meltho, former member of Pasto

Another interesting fact, in the production of the single Sepenuhnya Sampai Mati, Pasto was assisted by Meltho, who is none other than their former member. Meltho directly acted as the vocal director in this single by Syahdi Abdillah.

"There were no usual difficulties. The whole production process went smoothly. Coincidentally, Pasto was directly directed by Meltho, former member of Pasto. So Meltho combined the distinctive characteristics of Pasto with different characteristics," Sion concluded.
