Celebrating 17 Years of Career, Nania Yusuf Releases 'Cintaku Bukan Begini'

Kapanlagi.com - The name Nania Yusuf is certainly familiar to millennials who grew up in the 2000s. Nania is an alumni of Indonesian Idol who has been active in the music industry in Indonesia for quite some time. And to celebrate her 17-year career, Nania has decided to release a new song.

Titled Cintaku Bukan Begini (My Love is Not Like This), this song is very personal to Nania. This is because she has mostly released recycled songs until now. This song also marks Nania's decision to join the IniDigi Entertainment label.

"This time, after 17 years, I want to release something new with a new life as well. And coincidentally, this is also my first time joining a label. This song represents everyone's feelings. It was chosen because everyone has experienced it, and many say it is heart-wrenching. It doesn't mean that when we're heartbroken, we can't rise again," Nania explained when recently met in Jakarta.

There is indeed something different about Nania's new song. Usually known to the public as a jazz and rock singer, this time she chose pop. With this, she wants to prove that as a singer, there doesn't need to be genre categorization.

"Previously, I have sung jazz, rock. I used to have a rock band too. In this song, I want to challenge myself and declare that Nania has changed, no longer segmented. Because what's important for a singer is being able to sing all genres," she continued.

In addition, this work is so special because it made Nania cry when she first heard it. The same thing happened during the recording and making of the music video, Nania cried because she felt what was being told in this song.

"Cintaku Bukan Begini" is also the opening single of the album which is planned to be released this year. "For sure, there will be around 7-8 songs. My album will be different. I give opportunities to those who want to collaborate, I have more songs. Everyone, when they have a work, should show it. Enriching our work with our creations," Nania concluded.
