Kapanlagi.com - Majestic, classy, and elegant, are the three sensations that will be immediately felt when first listening to the collaboration release of Dewa 19 and Yura Yunita this time. Still in the series of re-releases, Dewa 19's best works, this time the living legend, Ahmad Dhani teams up with Yura Yunita who is trusted to sing back two legendary songs owned by Dewa 19, namely Kangen and Risalah Hati.
Both of these songs have already found a place in the hearts of Indonesian music lovers, but both Ahmad Dhani and Yura Yunita believe that by collaborating, they can produce the best version for both of these songs and give a magical effect to the song that has been released since 1992.
“I'm very confident that Yura's version of Kangen can surpass the version sung by the late Chrisye and Sophia Latjuba back in the 2000s. In my opinion, Yura is amazing in singing Kangen and Risalah Hati, especially when accompanied by the orchestra led by me and Guntur Pardjono Putra," said Ahmad Dhani in a press release received by KapanLagi.com today, Friday (23/7).
The man from Surabaya is confident that Yura Yunita can perform the two legendary Dewa 19 songs very well. Previously, he had known that many other musicians out there have covered the song.
"Many people have covered this song, but I believe Yura Yunita successfully sings this song in her own unique way, different from others,” he continued.
The production process of this collaboration has been going on for about a month. During this collaboration process, Yura Yunita admitted to gaining a lot of knowledge from the legendary Ahmad Dhani, how dedication and integrity are the keys to surviving in 30 years of music.
"I was really surprised when I first contacted Mas Dhani to come to his house. He said he got my number from Mas Armand Maulana. It turns out I was invited to re-release my favorite song, which even the song "Kangen" was already there before I was born in this world. I really idolize and grow up with the genius musical works of Dewa19 since I was in elementary school. And Wow, now the official songs Kangen and Risalah Hati are sung by me. This collaboration is produced by Mas Dhani & Dewa19 like a dream come true. I never expected it and I'm really proud!" said Yura Yunita.
Yura Yunita also feels that both of these songs will be released at the right momentum, where they can represent our feelings in a challenging time like this. A time when distance becomes a necessity, and when all the words of longing make us unable to resist the desire to meet and release the buried longing. Especially the song Kangen, it seems to warm our hearts as if we are in the embrace of our loved ones.
Kangen and Risalah Hati can be heard starting on Friday, July 23, 2021, through all streaming music services. Hopefully, these two songs can complete the hearts of the listeners.
