Kapanlagi.com - The commitment of H Muhammad Daud, or commonly known as Bang Daud, to improve the status of artists is unquestionable. Through his established MSI Record, he aims to provide the best for the musicians under his wing.
Willing to spend around Rp 2 billion for a 4-story studio with international standard facilities, Bang Daud himself is not focused on financial matters. The man who used to sell siomay (Indonesian street food) only wants to do his best for the music industry.
Â
"This is my vow when I was in difficult times. I often saw street musicians with great voices, with the potential to become big, but their living conditions didn't change because no one wanted to help. That's why when I am in the position I am now, I remember and will fulfill my vow to uplift artists, singers, or bands who are nobody to become 'big'," he expressed at the Gebyar 1st Anniversary MSI Record event on Thursday (2/7).
With excellent facilities, Bang Daud hopes that his artists can compete better. "Although MSI Record is a new label, we will continue to strive to be the best. That's why the equipment for the studio alone costs nearly Rp 2 billion. Starting from microphones, sound systems, mixing, mastering, everything is of international standard." I do this because I aspire for Indonesian music to be able to compete and go international," he explained.
Â
Charly Van Houten, as one of the musicians under MSI Record, reveals that the excellent facilities provided enable artists to be more creative and deliver their best work.
"For Indonesian musicians, the facilities provided by MSI Record are extraordinary. When you see their studio equipment, it is truly remarkable. In my opinion, it is the most advanced and the dream of many musicians to have a studio like MSI studio. Bang Haji Daud is truly extraordinary," says Charly.

Ruri Repvblik also agrees with Charly. He hopes that MSI Record can continue to advance, be professional, and serve as an example to other labels.
"Hopefully, MSI Record can become a platform for musicians and artists in Indonesia, and set an example for other labels. MSI Record is a professional label that takes responsibility for the artists' work within it," concludes Ruri.
