Duet with Reza Artamevia, Iwan Fals Will Surprise at 'SCTV 30th Anniversary'
Iwan Fals will enliven SCTV's 50th anniversary with Reza Artamevia.
Kapanlagi.com - Singers Raisa and Isyana Sarasvati will soon perform together with the Gita Bahana Nusantara Choir and Orchestra (GBN) virtually. The two beautiful singers will be guest stars in the Virtual Gita Bahana Nusantara Concert, which will be broadcasted on Metro TV and TVRI on August 17.
Having the opportunity to collaborate with GBN participants is a first-time experience for both Raisa and Isyana. Excited and eager to perform together, Raisa was even surprised when she first received the offer.

"This is my first experience, so it is very valuable, especially to be able to join the GBN participants whose voices are quite extraordinary. They are all the best selected from various regions," said Raisa on Monday (10/8) yesterday through a webinar.
Meanwhile, Isyana even admitted that she had chills when invited to collaborate with GBN. "I had chills, even though we only met face to face and not directly. I know that GBN participants have extraordinary talent. I actually hope to perform (directly) with them. But the condition of the nation does not allow us to only perform virtually. Well, hopefully next year we can perform together," said Isyana.

This event itself was created because the GBN Orchestra and Choir could not entertain the Indonesian people on the Independence Day as in previous years. However, the public can still watch their cool performances on Metro TV on August 16-17 at 20:30-21:00 WIB and TVRI on August 17 at 20:00-21:00 WIB.
As usual, the Ministry of Education and Culture through the Directorate General of Culture provides guidance to the younger generation ahead of the Independence Day celebration. One of them is being part of this event.
"In relation to the current pandemic situation, the GBN Choir and Orchestra, which have become part of the Independence Day commemoration, cannot perform live at the Palace, but will perform virtually in a concert titled GBN Concert," said the Director General of Culture, Hilmar Farid.
According to Hilmar, the presence of children from all over the country can maintain the spirit of patriotism and nationalism in the younger generation, and transmit it to the public. GBN can be a means to channel the talents and creative potential of the younger generation.
"Gita Bahana Nusantara, which is a combination of the best vocalists and musicians from all regions of Indonesia, was formed in 2003. The initial idea for its formation came from Ibu Megawati Soekarno Putri, who was serving as the President of Indonesia at that time. She wanted the establishment of a national choir and orchestra involving young people aged 16-23 throughout Indonesia, while still showcasing the nation's personality and culture," Hilmar concluded.
The purpose of the formation of GBN itself is to strengthen the nation's identity and character, foster a sense of nationality, respect differences, and cultivate a sense of togetherness among the younger generation, as well as form a strong National Choir and Orchestra.
