Kapanlagi.com - Pestapora Festival Director, Kiki Aulia Ucup, directly apologized to the audience regarding the controversy of PT Freeport Indonesia's sponsorship that caused several musicians to withdraw. Ucup also announced that his team has officially terminated the cooperation contract. This statement was made directly under the Boss Stage, amidst the crowd of spectators.
In front of the attending audience, Kiki Ucup began his statement with an apology on behalf of Pestapora. "The first word I want to say is an apology from me representing Pestapora for what happened today and yesterday," said Kiki Ucup, Saturday (6/9/2025).

He acknowledged that the cooperation with Freeport was a mistake and negligence on his part. As a form of accountability, decisive action was taken immediately.
"We fully acknowledge our mistakes and negligence in cooperating with PT Freeport Indonesia. But we took swift action because we are very aware of that mistake, we immediately terminated the contract with PT Freeport Indonesia with Pestapora," he asserted.
Ucup also ensured that no funds were received by his side from that cooperation. "And once again I assure you, Pestapora did not receive a single penny from PT Freeport Indonesia," he added.
Kiki Ucup specifically apologized to the ticket holders who were disappointed because they could not see their idol's performance. He emphasized that he is ready to accept any consequences from this issue.
"And I, as the Festival Director, once again apologize to all of you who have purchased tickets, who have been present today and did not get the performance they wanted from some friends who decided to withdraw from Pestapora 2025," he expressed.
Despite this incident, Kiki Ucup assured that the festival would continue until the last day, but with some adjustments. "The third day of Pestapora will still take place. But as I have mentioned, there may be some adjustments regarding the performers who choose not to perform at Pestapora on the third day," he concluded.
