Pestapora 2025 Presents a Unique Concept, Musicians Exchange Songs on Stage

As the driving force behind the event, Kiki Aulia Ucup, the Festival Director, stated that Pestapora is a space for exploration and celebrating the diversity of musical works. The man commonly known as Ucup also explained the challenges and vision behind this grand event this year.

"We can see that the festival is quite a challenge this year. We are trying to present things that could be an assignment for performers and the audience. We want to attempt things that haven't been done by everyone yet," said Kiki Aulia Ucup during a press conference on Monday (21/7/2025).

One of the main surprises prepared is the concept of song exchanges among the performers, which will be a special feature on the first day. Ucup elaborated further on the fresh idea that will involve these 15 pairs of musicians.

"We want to showcase each performer on their first day exchanging songs. One musician will perform another's song. It will be on the big stage. There are 15 pairs of musicians exchanging songs," said Kiki Aulia Ucup.

2. There Will Be Collaborations

The collaborations that capture the most attention certainly come from big names in the Indonesian music industry. Ucup specifically revealed one of the first pairs that will collaborate with a unique stage name.

"Slank will exchange songs with Sal Priadi. Their name is Slank Priadi," explained Ucup.

3. Juicy Luicy Performs a Song by Peterpan

Not only will there be a song exchange among musicians, but there will also be a special performance where a band will perform works from other legendary groups. Ucup provides an example from a segment that is sure to evoke nostalgia among the audience.

"Juicy Luicy will perform a song by Peterpan," he continued.

4. Meeting of Two Maestros

The Pestapora 2025 stage will also witness the meeting of two musical maestros from the homeland, which is a rare occurrence. Ucup confirmed the epic collaboration that has long been awaited by many of their fans.

"There will be Iwan Fals exchanging songs with Ebiet G. Ade," said Ucup.

5. Hindia Exchanges Songs with Bernadya

"Then there’s Hindia who will exchange with Bernadya," Ucup added.

"The total line-up of performers is not final yet, there will be 238 performers as of now," he added.
