Present a Song about Love, Farrel Hilal Brings 'You Who Are Different'

Kapanlagi.com - After presenting two songs that successfully captured the attention of local music lovers with his melodious voice, Farrel Hilal is ready to entertain again with his third single at the end of January through 'You Who Are Different'.

By presenting an acoustic style, this creation by Farrel will use more organic sounds. His singing style leans more towards pop ballad compared to the previous two singles that leaned towards R&B, as this young soloist aims to create a song with a pop ballad feel.

“Recently, I have been frequently listening to and creating music that leans towards the R&B and Soul genres. So, writing a pop ballad song, especially using organic instruments, with strings and others, feels challenging. But, I see it as an experience that can sharpen my skills in the production area,” he revealed in a recent written statement.

1. Inspired by Weddings

Farrel acknowledged that this song was inspired by the songs he usually performs at wedding events.

“Because I often get invited to sing at weddings, I thought about having a song about ‘eternal love’ or love that will never be replaced. Even when the person is no longer physically present, the feelings of their partner will still remain,” he continued.

“The point is, I want to tell the situation when we have one love that never fades. Whether far away, close, or left forever, the love will always be present in our lives because it’s not just the love they brought, but also the changes so that the feelings we have for them never disappear,” said Farrel again.

2. Learned a Lot

According to him, the pop ballad genre he presents in this single is a learning experience from the two earlier singles. Since joining Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia, Farrel has adapted quite a bit.

“So, I learned how to make the music produced still sound easy listening, while also being satisfying for myself. I tried to apply that in 'Dirimu yang Lain',” said Farrel.

Farrel Hilal's third single, 'Dirimu yang Lain', can be enjoyed on digital music platforms starting January 31, 2025.
