Release of Single 'Bankai', Jordy Waelauruw Collaborates with Big Names from 2 Different Genres

Kapanlagi.com - There was a gap of about 9 months from the last single Party with Myself. Trumpet player and music producer Jordy Waelauruw finally continues his journey through the latest single Bankai as the opening of the mini album Colo Colo 3 which is scheduled to be released on June 30th.

Since the beginning of the idea, Colo Colo presented by Jordy is as fresh as the fish that is usually used as a side dish for this chili paste. In the single Bankai, he initiated a different refreshment by collaborating with names such as Tuan Tigabelas, Barry Likumahuwa, Dimas Pradipta, and Stanley Khoewell.

"Actually, I have a hidden mission for Colo Colo 3. Where I bring together 2 influential people in 2 different genres. Tuan Tigabelas represents hip hop and Barry Likumahuwa represents jazz music. I am very confident that many people know these 2 big names. I bring them together in one track. My hope is that this can be an example, that when we collaborate, the sound will be even wider," said Jordy.

Single Bankai is about Jordy and Mr. Tigabelas challenging themselves to become something more than their previous selves. This single is proof of the transformation they underwent in their desire to level up and leave behind others' predictions about their music.

"Bankai is a term from the anime Bleach which signifies someone becoming stronger and leveling up. We adapted this term into our musical spirit. Where we want to break out of the boundaries of genres that exclude each other and merge into a new strength and color," said Mr. Tigabelas.

Meanwhile, the involvement of Dimas Pradipta and Stanley Khoewell was not without reason. Jordy believes that both musicians have the same musical spirit as him. Even the song-making process went smoothly without obstacles because Dimas and Stanley knew exactly what Jordy wanted.

2. Schedule for the Next 3 Singles

After Bankai was released, Jordy has scheduled the launch of three more singles to complete Colo Colo 3, including Asawari feat. Georgie Tanasale on June 16, 2023, House of Blues feat. Pieter Anroputra and Niel Larumunde on June 23, 2023, and the final single Don't Stop feat. Nicky Manuputty that will complete his mini album.

As the album is set to be released at the end of this month, Jordy revealed some details about Colo Colo 3. He said that this album is more varied overall than Colo Colo 1 and Colo Colo 2.

"Most of my listeners probably know that I always make bangers. But, this time I want to present music that they might not expect from me in CC3. I feel helped by the CC3 collaborators. They were more receptive to music before me to realize all of this." said Jordy.

In addition to being available on various music streaming services, the single Bankai can also be watched on Colo Colo Season 3 on Jordy Waelauruw's YouTube channel. Unlike Season 1 and Season 2, this time Jordy chose M Bloc Market in South Jakarta as the space to present his music.
