Release of Single Titled 'Badut', Meiska Adinda: It's Okay to Love, But Don't Be Stupid

Kapanlagi.com - Young soloist, Meiska Adinda, releases her fifth single with Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia (SMEI) titled Badut. This song was created by Raguel Lewi, Mytha Lestari, and Andre Lizt from Eltandre.

Badut tells the story of a woman who loves her lover so much. However, at the same time, her lover still has a past trauma. The woman eventually appears as a clown who is only needed to entertain her lover.

"The story is about a girl who loves her boyfriend so much that she becomes foolish because she wants to do anything to accompany the guy who still has a past trauma. In other words, this girl becomes a 'clown' who entertains the guy during his painful moments," said the singer born on May 20, 2003.

1. Pop Ballad

In the song Badut, Meiska also contributed to the lyric ideas. This song Badut also brings back the pop ballad genre that Meiska excels in. Previously, the song Telat Cemburu carried the pop RnB genre.

"People have often asked me when I will make another pop ballad song, so I chose this song as my fifth single. Considering that I have often sung this genre, the process from the beginning to the recording itself did not encounter significant obstacles," explained Meiska.

Meiska admitted that the production of Badut was relatively fast as it was done together with several songs that are planned to be included in the album. "The process was quite fast, starting from being given the song draft, online workshops, and finally recording in Jakarta. Thank God, everything went smoothly," she said.

2. Deep Message

Through the song Badut, Meiska also embeds a deep message for her listeners. According to her, it's okay to love someone, but don't sacrifice your own feelings

"Loving someone is allowed, but don't use your heart too much and end up being foolish and becoming a 'clown'. If you keep forcing yourself to accompany them when they haven't been able to let go of their trauma, our feelings might be the ones that become the victims. Someone's past trauma is not our responsibility to solve, but it's that person who has to fight to overcome the trauma," she said.

In early 2024, Meiska leaked that she will release an album this year. She doesn't want to reveal much, she only mentioned that the preparations are nearing completion.

"All the songs that will be included in the album are already complete and recorded. It's just the finishing touches. Please pray that everything goes smoothly until the release date,”

While waiting for her album to be ready for release, Meiska hopes that Badut will be well-received by her listeners.

"Hopefully, this fifth single of mine, Badut, can be a friend in the midst of confusion and can't escape from the minds or hearts of those who listen. Come on, memorize the lyrics so we can sing together when Meiska performs live later,” she concluded.
