Commemorating Kartini Day, Aurelie Moeremans to Astrid Sartiasari Collaborate in TRAH's Latest Project Titled 'Perempuan'

Kapanlagi.com - The non-commercial collaborative project, TRAH, always presents new works on National Day. Now, the movement led by a group of talented artists is releasing a work to commemorate Kartini Day, which falls on April 21, 2024. The song is titled Perempuan.

This song is performed by a number of popular Indonesian female singers, such as Cita Rahayu, Tika Bisono, Astrid Basjar, Aurelie Moeremans, Virza Oreel, Syanell, and Nindi Azmey. Perempuan itself is a creation by Cita Rahayu, Mahardhika Soekarno, and Trio Wijaya.

The song Perempuan is created as a form of appreciation for Indonesian women today in terms of equality to make real movements, freely create, realize their dreams, convey their creative ideas, voice their beneficial thoughts, and contribute achievements for Indonesia in all fields.

1. Enthusiasm of Musicians to Join

Nanda Persada as one of the initiators of TRAH had a memorable experience when inviting several singers to join this project. Unexpectedly, many were enthusiastic about this project because of its theme, lyrics, and music arrangement that were good and touching.

"I am deeply moved to find that there are still many artists and musicians in Indonesia whose hearts are filled with love for the red and white, willing to participate without any commercial elements," said Nanda Persada.

2. Insert a Piece of the Song Melati Suci

To strengthen the theme, there is a small surprise by adding a piece of the song Melati Suci by Guruh Soekarno Putra at the end of the song.

"It is truly an honor and it moves me to be able to perform this song," said Tika Bisono.

In the music video itself, there are glimpses of Indonesian women who struggle in all aspects of life. There are also scenes of praying and scattering flowers at the grave of the late First Lady, Ibu Fatmawati, who sewed the Red and White flag.

Mahardhika Soekarno, who is the producer, composer, music director, and arranger of this song, invited other musician friends who are members of 45Movement to fill in the musical parts in the song Perempuan.

45Movement is a recording house or platform for musicians who want to produce a musical work with a mutual cooperation system, starting from the distribution of royalties to songwriters and anyone involved in the production process, with a different distribution compared to conventional labels in order to improve the welfare of artists.

3. About TRAH

TRAH is a voluntary non-commercial collaborative movement of a group of artists with a national theme, making Nationalism a lifestyle through the medium of music. So far, TRAH has released their works on national days that are historic moments for the Indonesian nation.

Their hope is that their works can inspire the nation's children to remind each other of history and increase their love for the homeland. TRAH's previous works include; Untuk Indonesia Raya, Sumpah Pemuda, Pancasila, and Nusantara.
