Release Single 'Berdalih', More on Mumbles Ready to Present Debut Album This Year

Kapanlagi.com - More on Mumbles targets 2024 as a productive period for their work. Lintang and Awan, two members of More on Mumbles, start by releasing Berdalih, the third single from their debut album scheduled to be released this year.

Unlike the previously released "Good For You" and "Such Is Life", Berdalih features more upbeat music. They hope this song gives an idea of the variety of musical colors that will be present in their first album.

Lintang and Awan created "Berdalih," produced by Enrico Octaviano. This song reflects the confused and chaotic state of someone's heart after being suddenly abandoned by someone precious to them.

Lintang explains that many of us do not have enough time to process separations, so there is a denial reaction to the event, tending to blame circumstances and others rather than oneself.

"Because we don't have enough time to process feelings because
suddenly left like that, we become confused and in denial," says Lintang, the vocalist of More on Mumbles.

"This song expresses the feeling of confusion and not wanting to accept that they are left. However, being left also has its own role in it," added Lintang.

2. No Need to Be Too Hard

Lintang adds that Berdalih can also be a reminder that there is no need to immediately understand all the feelings that are felt. The feeling of confusion and denial towards separation needs to be carefully processed before finally making peace and moving forward. "No need to be too hard on yourself," he added.

"That's why in this song there are many lyrics of denial like 'you said we're no longer the same, how is that possible?' or 'tryna wrap my head around it, don't you think you overthink it?' which show the confusion," concluded Lintang.

Berdalih has been available on various digital music platforms since January 19, 2024.
