The Virgin Proud to Reach 15 Years Old

Kapanlagi.com - Mita and Dara, members of The Virgin, are grateful to have overcome difficult times as a music group and reach 15 years of career in the music industry.

"It's not easy to reach 15 years. Especially for us girls. Because female duos like Dewi Dewi, Mahadewi have already disbanded. So we are very proud to reach the number 15," explained Mita at FX Sudirman, Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (11/1/2024).

Dara and Mita, do not deny that they often have arguments during their 15 years together. However, they always manage to overcome it by prioritizing openness and honesty.

"There are a lot of ups and downs. We often argue. But from there, it becomes a lesson. If you don't like something, speak up, don't keep it inside. We must be honest with each other," said Dara, affirmed by Mita.

The Virgin was formed by the boss of Republik Cinta Management (RCM), Ahmad Dhani, on January 9, 2008. Mita is one of Ahmad Dhani's guitarists in the band The Rock Indonesia.

2. Achieving Many Awards

Meanwhile, Dara is one of the former contestants of the talent show Mamamia Show Indosiar, recruited by Dhani to join Mita in The Virgin.

The Virgin released their debut album titled "New The Beginning 09" in 2009. The song "Cinta Terlarang" (Forbidden Love) from that album successfully brought fame to The Virgin. They have won various awards, such as "Best Duo/Group (2010)", "Favorite New Duo/Group (2010)", "Best Newcomer (2010)", "Most Favorite Girl Group (2011)", "The Best Music Video (2011)".
