Soloist Jajang Bagus Releases Debut Single Masih (Menunggumu), Beware of Maximum Baper!

Kapanlagi.com - Having traveled around the entertainment world in East Java by starting his career as a traditional dancer, finally Jajang Bagus opens a new dimension in his journey by becoming a soloist. This is marked by the release of his debut single titled Masih (Menunggumu) on August 7, 2020, which is packaged in a well-crafted Music Video (MV) by Prialangga.

1. About Endless Hope

The song titled Masih (Menunggumu) is about endless hope, reflecting the meaning of waiting: sacrifice, tears, and despair. This single was created by Donna Angel and regarding the early process of its creation, there is a little story revealed by Jajang Bagus.

“Wow, it's crazy. When I first heard the draft from my friends, I immediately related to it. Reflecting on my life experience of hoping and losing, I realized that this song has a very deep meaning,” said Jajang Bagus.

2. Directed by Talented Director, Prialangga

The making of the Music Video Masih (Menunggumu) was entrusted to a talented director from Malang named Prialangga, who has worked on MVs for several famous Indonesian artists. Among them are Sal Priadi, Coldiac, Virzha, Mikha Tambayong, and many more.

“The concept of the MV emphasizes on how someone struggles to return in a relationship. This is depicted through close-up shots, but they appear to be very distant. It's like they are no longer on the same frequency,” explained Prialangga.

3. The Making Process of the MV was Done in Bandung

The filming process for Masih (Menunggumu) was done in Bandung, West Java. Jajang and Prialangga believe that Bandung has its own magic and romance. The abundance of beautiful places in the city also became the reason for their choice. The selection of these places ultimately had a significant impact on the making of this MV.

“The venue that supports melancholic emotions, the song played repeatedly during filming, the chemistry between me and Lisa (the female lead), and the emotional scenes made all of us crew members present at the location cry because we were carried away by the atmosphere. At the end of the scene, the wind suddenly blew strongly accompanied by crying scenes from the actors and added with a sense of emotion from the crew. Epic!” Jajang's story.

4. From the Recording Studio Side

In the recording studio side, the responsibility for arranging this song is held by Tonie Teguh and Indra Key. Meanwhile, the recording session was conducted at Tom's Studio and Gio Production Studio. After all the recording processes were completed, the audio of this song was then mixed and mastered by Bintang Elian Sinay. Bintang himself is known to be a young producer who was once a part of the Uprising label and has worked on mixing and mastering other artists' works such as Avia Athalia, BID, Dhandy Annora, and so on.
