Collaboration of Minahasa Art and Digital-Based System Present in Bontang City Carnival 2023

Kapanlagi.com - Bontang City Carnival (BCC) 2023 was successfully held with dozens of participants participating in the festival and cultural parade. One of the Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) participating in this event is the Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo) of Bontang City, which successfully appeared fascinating by carrying the Minahasa cultural theme.

Apparently, there is a deep story and meaning behind the selection of this theme. What is the story like?

Symbol of Bontang City's Development Direction

According to Andi Hasanuddin Akmal, Secretary of Diskominfo Bontang, stated that the choice of culture from one of the ethnic groups in Indonesia has its own reasons, namely to become a symbol of the development direction of Diskominfo Bontang.

"Because the Communication and Information Office of Bontang City is currently in the process of realizing the era of digitization, it needs an informative community that can be achieved through the collaboration of Community Information Groups through art and culture," said Andi after participating in BCC, Saturday (22/10/2023).

He also revealed that the realization of a digital-based system is also reflected through the assistance from the community. Collaboration and synergy from the community, which still firmly holds on to culture, are needed to realize this. This is in accordance with one of the symbols of Minahasa art, namely kawasaran, which is a tradition of the ancestral tribe in North Sulawesi.

"Kawasaran is a tribute to waranai or knights who always strive with the spirit of young knights to contribute positively to the nation and country," said Andi.

It is this symbol that then encourages the Communication and Information Office of Bontang City to choose a combination of Minahasa art with the future development direction of this office. The Communication and Information Office of Bontang City collaborated with Sanggar Tari Kawasaran Se Mahassa Bontang to collaborate in presenting a great performance at this year's BCC.

The presence of collaboration and synergy with art enthusiasts is proof that the annual carnival is truly built on the background of Indonesian culture.
