"Bicycles can already be self-financed, it seems that many people buy them in cash because they can afford it," said the President Director of Adira Finance, Hafid Hadeli, in a virtual press conference on Tuesday, (4/8/2020).

1. Buy Bicycles on Credit

According to him, it is rare for people to buy bicycles on credit, especially if they need financing from Adira Finance. However, if the purchased bicycle is expensive, it can be assisted with financing from Adira.

"Not many people buy on credit, except for expensive bicycles," he said.

However, what is certain is that they are currently focused on financing for cars and motorcycles. Judging from the overall total new financing from Adira Finance in the first semester of 2020 alone, it decreased by 47 percent YoY to Rp 10.1 trillion.

2. Sluggish Sales

PT Adira Dinamika Multi Finance Tbk (ADMF) or Adira Finance recorded a total decrease in new financing of up to 47 percent YoY in the first semester of 2020. It decreased to Rp 10.1 trillion.

Adira Finance's Finance Director, I Dewa Made Susila, said that the sluggish sales were in line with the decline in the automotive industry. This is due to the sluggish purchasing power of the community due to the implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in several regions.

"With the PSBB, most economic activities are halted. This has an impact on the financing of cars and motorcycles," he said in a virtual press conference on the Performance of the First Semester of 2020, Tuesday (4/8).

3. Efforts to Maximize

However, the company will still strive to revive the sales of automotive products, especially motorcycles and cars. Like by maximizing sales in the new normal era.

"Because we believe that in this new normal era there will be a national economic recovery. Considering that various business activities will resume," he concluded.
