Hungry Playground Officially Replaces Pasar Senggol, Will Feature 110 Tenants and Free Concerts

Carrying the tagline "Play More, Eat More", the new concept of Hungry Playground unites the experience of eating, playing, and enjoying performances in one destination. The Center Director of Summarecon Mall Bekasi, Ugi Cahyono, explained the reasons for the rebranding and the commitment to local culinary entrepreneurs.

"Observing the shift in trends and lifestyles that increasingly prioritize experience (experience-driven), this year we decided to change the name to Hungry Playground. This change does not alter our commitment to continue providing space for local culinary SMEs to grow alongside the organization of larger and more diverse events. This year, we are presenting 110 culinary tenants that have gone through a curation process, including several entrepreneurs that we have brought directly from their regions. We hope Hungry Playground can become a signature event of Summarecon Mall Bekasi that visitors always look forward to, while also having a positive impact on the growth and movement of the local culinary entrepreneurs' economy."

After more than a decade as an annual culinary agenda, Pasar Senggol is now entering a new chapter with the name Hungry Playground. This change expands the scope of the event, not only focusing on food but also presenting a variety of entertainment and activities that can be enjoyed across all ages.

Hungry Playground is scheduled to take place from August 14 to September 20, 2026, located in the South Parking area of Summarecon Mall Bekasi. The format is designed to encourage visitors to come with family or friends, enjoying food while playing and participating in community activities.

The event area covers 18,200 square meters divided into two main zones. First, a culinary area that also serves as the main stage for performances. Second, a playground area that features various attractions, including a winter-themed play experience.

Hungry Playground presents 110 curated culinary tenants, featuring entrepreneurs from Jakarta, Bandung, Bali, and various other regions. This curation includes legendary cuisine, viral street food, trendy snacks, and popular F&B brands.

Some of the tenants that add to the excitement include Gigi Susu, Klepon Gianyar Since 1980, Warung Babi Guling Men Malen, Toko Bubur Dibawah Pohon Rindang, Aldi’s Burger, Aldi’s Hotdog, Aldi’s Coffee, Cimory Yogurt Café, Pisang Goreng Madu Bu Nanik, Nasi Matah Blok M, Cimol Keju Barito, Donatopia, Susu Murni Bahagia, Gultik Blok M, and many more.

The variety of options allows visitors to create their own culinary route, from tasting legendary dishes to trying the latest trendy snacks. With a spacious area, the tenants are spread out in a culinary zone that is integrated with the main stage, so the dining experience can coincide with enjoying performances.

3. Playground Rides, Frosty Carnival to Jungle Kingdom

In line with the concept of 'playground', the play area becomes an important attraction. One of them is Frosty Carnival "The 1st Airdomed Snow Park Experience in Indonesia", a winter-themed experience that is presented for the first time at Summarecon Mall Bekasi.

At Frosty Carnival, visitors can try Ice Skating with tickets starting from Rp80 thousand to Rp95 thousand, Snow Playground starting from Rp50 thousand to Rp75 thousand, and Jumbo Ice Slide with ticket prices starting from Rp25 thousand to Rp70 thousand. The price range allows visitors to choose activities according to their preferences.
