Promoting Jamu as a New Lifestyle, Mustika Ratu Holds RTD Packaging Design Competition with Millions of Rupiah in Prizes

The competition started on July 6th until August 31st, 2020, where all the best design works submitted by participants have gone through the judging process by Mustika Ratu.

The jury's decision determined 10 participants with the best packaging designs to compete for the champion and the top 3 finalists, which were announced virtually. The Winner Announcement event was attended by the top 10 finalists and several media on Thursday, September 24th, from the Sasono Suko Hall of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk, Ciracas, East Jakarta.

1. RTD Packaging Design Competition

The RTD Packaging Design Competition, which is open to the public, has proven to attract high enthusiasm from the public. Based on the latest data, there are 500 designs collected from 332 designers from 106 cities throughout Indonesia.

Participants who participate in this competition are required to upload the results of their product packaging design to their personal Instagram and tag the accounts @mustikaratuind @jejamubymustikaratu and use the hashtags #Jejamubymustikaratu #Jejamudesigncompetition. Of course, their designs must also be original.

"The purpose of holding the RTD Packaging Design Competition is to bring traditional herbal medicine products closer to the public, especially the millennial generation, through art and design so that the packaging of RTD products truly appeals to millennials. In addition, this competition provides an opportunity for the community to develop their talents through creative packaging design that meets product standards. It's time for the younger generation in Indonesia to take pride in drinking traditional herbal medicine and make it part of their lifestyle," added Yuniastuti K Putri, Chief Marketing Officer of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT).

2. Million Rupiah Prize for the Winners

Participants who successfully win this competition will receive cash prizes in the millions of rupiah. The 1st winner, Muhammad Aris Reinaldi, will receive cash prize of Rp 10 million, the 2nd winner, Alivia Putri Rahmawati, will receive cash prize of Rp 5 million, the 3rd winner, Aji Syahputra, will receive cash prize of Rp 3 million.

Not only that, the weekly favorite winners will receive Rp 200,000 which will be announced every weekend based on applicable provisions. In addition to receiving cash prizes, the winning works will be used as packaging designs for Mustika Ratu RTD products distributed throughout Indonesia.

3. Jamu Can Help Maintain Body Immunity

On the same occasion, Rara Ayu, the Miss Indonesia 2020, also voiced an invitation to millennials to start consuming traditional herbal medicine. According to her, this traditional drink can improve body immunity, especially during the current pandemic.

"There are many activities, but mostly virtual events due to the pandemic. We have to be healthy and fit. Thankful for the support from external and internal treatments. Herbal medicine improves our body's resilience. Since childhood, my family has been accustomed to drinking herbal medicine. Even liking the bitter ones. It's already normal. Especially now that they taste sweet," explained Rara Ayu.
