Andre Taulany Appeals After His Divorce Application Was Rejected by the Court

Kapanlagi.com - The latest news comes from Andre Taulany, who is currently undergoing divorce proceedings with his wife, Rien Wartia Trigina. After his divorce application was rejected by the Tigaraksa Religious Court, Andre decided to file an appeal.

This decision was made through the e-court system on September 25, 2024. However, the complete reasons behind Andre's appeal have not yet been disclosed. The spokesperson for the Tigaraksa Religious Court, Ummi Azma, confirmed the appeal filed by Andre Taulany.

"Yes, there is (an appeal) from Andre. I haven't read the memorandum. The important thing is that he has registered the appeal via e-court on September 25, 2024," said Ummi Azma to reporters via telephone on Thursday (10/3/2024).

1. Appeal to the High Court

However, Ummi herself admitted that she has not read in detail the appeal memorandum submitted by Andre. According to Ummi, Andre's appeal documents will be submitted and examined by the Banten Religious High Court. She emphasized that this appeal process does not involve a direct trial, but rather focuses solely on the examination of documents.

"There is no (trial), this is an appeal to the Banten Religious High Court. So what is examined is just the documents," she explained.

Regarding when the results of this appeal will be released, Ummi mentioned that the process is quite lengthy. "I don't know yet, the story is still long. There needs to be an examination of the appeal case documents, appeal memorandum, and so on," she said.

2. Divorce Petition Rejected

Previously, on April 4, 2024, Andre filed a divorce petition against his wife. However, the Tigaraksa Religious Court rejected the petition on September 5, 2024, on the grounds that the claims made by Andre were not proven.

The Panel of Judges stated that the reasons for the ongoing disputes and arguments presented by Andre were not strong enough to continue the divorce process.

"According to the legal considerations of the Panel of Judges, the claims made by the petitioner stating that there are ongoing disputes and arguments were not proven," Ummi Azma stated on a different occasion.
