Arrested for Using Sabu, Jaka Hidayat, Former BIP Drummer: I Just Miss It

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Jaka Hidayat, who is a former drummer of the band BIP, was arrested by the Narcotics Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police on Wednesday (9/2/2020) for using the drug known as sabu. According to his confession, Jaka used sabu because he missed the illegal substance.

"Well, at that time, I just missed it because I had stopped using it," said Jaka Hidayat of the North Jakarta Police on Friday (9/4/2020).

1. Apologies

As a musician who has previously joined a famous band group, Jaka Hidayat apologizes to the public and will no longer use such forbidden items. Jaka Hidayat also urges users to stop immediately.

"To the public, as a musician, I want to sincerely apologize and I will not use it anymore. Moreover, for those who are still using it, please stop, it is better for your health," he said.

2. Two Months of Consumption

Meanwhile, the North Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Sudjarwoko, stated that Jaka Hidayat has been consuming methamphetamine since 2002 and had stopped before. However, he started using it again two months ago.

"Based on preliminary examination, he has been using this type of narcotic, methamphetamine, since (the year) 2002. But he had stopped using narcotics and started actively again two months ago," concluded Commissioner Pol Sudjarwoko.
