Baim Wong Acknowledges It's Hard to Be Both a Father and a Mother: Just Realized It's Really Difficult to Put Two Kids to Sleep

Over the past few months, Baim has admitted to living each day as both a father and a mother to his children, Kiano and Kenzo. This experience has become a moment of reflection for him.

When met at the South Jakarta Religious Court, Baim shared his struggles in taking care of the children without Paula Verhoeven's presence. He noted that the role of a mother is much heavier than he had ever imagined.

"When it's time to sleep, oh my, with two kids instead of sleeping, they joke around first, and it takes a while for them to actually sleep, it's really hard to be a mother. ‘Kiano, close your eyes’ can take up to an hour before both of them are asleep, it's really tough being a mother," said Baim, Wednesday (16/4/2025).

1. Now Understand the Importance of Time for Yourself

Baim said that after focusing entirely on his family for a long time, he began to understand the importance of time for himself. In his solitude, he found space to reflect and be grateful.

"I am alone in my room, I can watch, wake up at 6 in the morning and then exercise, I enjoy what I have missed all this time, it's quite good for the family so far, it seems like I also need me time," he said.

However, he emphasized that this does not mean avoiding responsibilities, but rather a part of how God shows new meaning in his life.

"So don't discuss it forcefully, no need to," he said, holding back his emotions.

2. Want Problems to Settle

Although faced with dual roles, Baim strives to maintain emotional stability and the lives of his children. He wants this experience to be a lesson and a process of maturity for himself.

"For five years I have been with the children and Paula, focused, never going out or anything and enjoying it," he reminisced.

Now, Baim hopes that all issues can soon settle down and that their children continue to receive full love from both parents.
