"I legalize the name Munaroh, I just patent it. Because my real name is almost lost," she said as quoted from antaranews.com.

"People often look for my house using the name Munaroh instead of Maryati. They only found out my name is Maryati when they asked for my address," she continued.

2. Making Nasi Kuning to Change Name

Maryati mentioned that the name Munaroh brings its own blessings for her. To legalize her name, she made nasi kuning at that time. However, her ID card still bears the name Maryati.

"It's definitely a blessing, Alhamdulillah. When I was Maryati, things were just average, but when I became Munaroh, Alhamdulillah," said the woman who now wears a hijab.

"After filming in 1992, my school friends started calling me Munaroh. So, people said to make nasi kuning. Eventually, I made nasi kuning for the name Munaroh, but my ID card still says Maryati," she concluded.
