Before Passing Away, Rahayu Effendi, the Mother of Dede Yusuf, Was Treated in the ICU for 60 Days

Kapanlagi.com - Senior actress Siti Rahayu Effendi, who is also known as the mother of actor and politician Dede Yusuf, passed away on Thursday (28/11/2024) at MMC Hospital, South Jakarta. Siti Rahayu passed away at 04:38 WIB at the age of 82.

Before her death, Rahayu underwent intensive care in the ICU for two months due to a heart attack she suffered in early October. Dede Yusuf recounted his mother's last condition, which was quite critical, requiring her to be treated in the ICU for nearly 60 days.

"So my mother was in the ICU for almost 60 days, precisely on October 1 she had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital, and during her treatment there, her condition was perhaps intensive care unit," said Dede Yusuf at the mourning house in Depok, West Java, on Thursday (28/11/2024).

"So she couldn't be visited, that's why we didn't inform anyone, with the aim of ensuring her recovery process went smoothly," he added.

However, Rahayu's condition did not show significant improvement. According to Dede, although there was a slight progress, her mother's advanced age made her vital organs increasingly weak.

"However, it turned out that after a month, her condition did not improve, although she did recover for a while, but because she is already 82 years old, many of her vital organs are not functioning well," he explained.

The family began to realize that the chances of a full recovery were getting smaller. Dede recalled that a few days before she passed away, his mother was still able to communicate with the family via video call.

"The last time we spoke was about a week ago; she was still able to video call with us and friends had also come to visit, but it has been said that she has reached the maximum age for humans, and all that is left is to wait for the final moment," he said.

2. The Organ Could No Longer Endure

Although he had prepared himself, his mother's passing still left a deep sorrow for Dede and the family. The strength of his mother during critical times made Dede so amazed.

"And thank God she was very strong, so when all her vital organs could no longer function, she still held on until this morning at 04:38 the doctor declared she was gone," he said.

The plan is for Siti Rahayu Effendi's body to be buried at TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta. He also asked for prayers from everyone so that his mother would receive the best place by His side.

"Please pray for her, may she have a good end, may her faith in Islam be accepted, and may her mistakes be forgiven," he concluded.
