Don't Want to Use Too Many CGI Effects, 'KKN DI DESA PENARI' Film Involves Dozens of Real Snakes
The film KKN DI DESA PENARI uses real snakes in the scenes.
Kapanlagi.com - The film KKN DI DESA PENARI is just counting the days until it is released in theaters nationwide. The film is scheduled to be released on March 19, 2020.
For Manoj Punjabi, when starting the production of this film, there were many difficulties in finding actors for his latest film. Finding actors who are suitable for the characters in the story and actors who are brave enough to face dozens of snakes.
"Casting actors is indeed difficult, but because this is MD, with the film KKN DI DESA PENARI, everyone is definitely interested. What's more difficult is finding actors who fit the characters in the story and who are brave enough to face snakes," said Manoj Punjabi, the producer, when met at MD Pictures, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Friday (21/2).
"Well, we use real snakes that interact a lot with the actors, so I want to find a way for the actors to treat these snakes like pets, to get close to them. They have to be brave, the actors have to be able to embody and be brave, it's indeed difficult but eventually they become brave, they can do it," he continued.

In addition, involving dozens of snakes of considerable size is not easy. In fact, according to Manoj's account during the shooting process, there was an incident where one of the actors could not escape from being entangled by a snake during a scene.
"This snake once entangled one of the actors to the point where they couldn't get free. At that time, the handler said they had to stay calm, because if we get more tense, the snake will tighten its grip even more. Eventually, this became a challenge that allowed the actor to learn to bond with the snake," said Manoj Punjabi.
Actually, Manoj mentioned that there were still many incidents that occurred during the shooting process of KKN DI DESA PENARI, but they were still under control. However, the most challenging part was dealing with those snakes.
"This is a unique experience, and actually there were still many incidents at the shooting location, but everything was still under control. But the most difficult part was dealing with these snakes," he added.
