Doesn't Want to Be Just a 'Sticker', Marcello Tahitoe Requests to Be Fully Involved in Peterpan Reunion Concert

Kapanlagi.com - The involvement of Marcello Tahitoe, or commonly known as Ello, in the Peterpan reunion concert has become one of the most anticipated events. As a musician, Ello does not want to just show up and sing. He specifically requested to be deeply involved from the very beginning of the creative process.

The singer commonly known as Ello expressed great enthusiasm since the first time he was invited to this project. According to him, the most important thing is to build strong chemistry with the Peterpan members in order to produce optimal work.

"So initially we hung out at Jagakarsa. We tried to build chemistry," Ello revealed when met at Studio Sepat, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/8/2025).

He felt an instant connection since their first meeting. The relaxed and laughter-filled atmosphere made the creative process flow very naturally without any pressure.

"And it clicked right away for me. So from hanging out there, chatting, laughing, it was mostly laughter. But because the chemistry was already good, the ideas that came out were also natural, not forced," he said.

1. Want to Be an Integral Part

When the workshop process began, Ello openly requested to be directly involved in every arrangement session. For him, full involvement is the key to truly absorbing and giving life to the song that will be performed.

"And when we had a real workshop with the instrumental band, I really asked, 'Hey, can I participate more, from the beginning?'," he explained.

Ello feels that he needs to 'immerse himself' in the process so that he does not feel like a mere guest singer. He wants to be an integral part of the performance itself.

"Because I need that, I need to be immersed in it. Because if I’m just stuck on like that, I find it a bit difficult. I have to join from the beginning so that I can really, in my language, enjoy it," he concluded.
