Doktif Said Doctor Richard Lee Did Not Dare to Attend the Hearing Because of This

Doktif was seen present to monitor the proceedings of the pretrial hearing filed by Richard Lee against the Metro Jaya Police at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (4/2/2026).

The agenda for this hearing is to listen to the response from the Metro Jaya Police regarding the request submitted by Richard Lee's side. Doktif explained that the trial process will continue to run in a marathon every day until next week. According to her, a decision is likely to be made next Wednesday.

"Alhamdulillah today is the response from the Metro Jaya Police. Earlier, the response from the Metro Jaya Police was heard, and tomorrow there will be correspondence. So after the correspondence every day, it is likely that after the discussion, the decision will be on Wednesday because it must be given within 7 days. That's mandatory for a decision to be made. Like that," said Doktif at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (4/2/2026).

1. Doctor's No Problem with Dr. Richard's Absence

Regarding Richard Lee's absence in the courtroom, the Doctor admitted that he did not see it as a problem. He understands that according to legal rules, the applicant can indeed be represented by legal counsel. However, he commented on the health reasons that caused Richard Lee to miss the trial.

"For the pretrial, he indeed does not have to be present because he is represented. That is indeed the right of Mr. DRL, especially since he is said to be sick, even if he is pretending to be sick or whatever it is. Only DRL and Allah know, but we just respect the process until Wednesday," he stated.

2. Comment on Richard Lee's Way of Facing the Media

The Doctor also highlighted Richard Lee's bravery in facing the media. He compared Richard Lee's attitude of always wearing a mask or avoiding confrontation with his own open demeanor. The Doctor assessed that there is an inconsistency being concealed by the opposing party.

"He comes, but with the mentality of a DRL, he won't show up. We know, very sure. The proof is he came, he wore a mask, he doesn't dare to appear like this, like the Doctor who comes face to face with a verbal exchange in front of clients and journalists, which he never does. There's a difference between the Doctor and the Doctor," the Doctor explained.

3. Appreciating Richard Lee's Legal Team

On the other hand, Doktif actually gives high appreciation to Richard Lee's legal team. According to him, lawyer Jeffry has worked exceptionally well in handling a client he considers quite difficult to face. He praised the resilience of the legal team in overseeing the ongoing legal process.

"Doktif really admires the lawyer of brother DRL, Bang Jeffry. Without Bang Jeffry, he might have been defeated a long time ago, you know. He would have been defeated a long time ago facing someone like DRL who is very manipulative," he said.

"So, Doktif appreciates the team from Bang Jeffry, incredibly strong, resilient, and patient, but clearly we will continue to fight, insyaallah we will reach the trial later," he concluded.
